GOI ALLOWS CENTRAL DISTRICT CO-OPERATIVE BANKS TO DEPOSIT THE DEMONETIZED NOTES WITH RBI

The Finance Ministry has rolled-out the Specified Bank Notes (Deposit by Banks, Post Offices and District Cooperative Banks) Rules, 2017 under which the Government of India has allowed the Central District Cooperative Banks to deposit the old notes (Rs 500 & Rs 1000) with any office of Reserve Bank of India within a period of 30 days from the commencement of the rules.
