Capital Foundation Society Awards Ceremony

A function was organized, November 16, 2025, by the Capital Foundation Society, at the Constitution Club, New Delhi presided over by HMJ Ujjal Bhuyan of the Supreme Court along with Justice Arjan Kumar Sikri, former judge of the Supreme Court. On the occasion, awards were presented to various recipients for their contributions to diverse areas of law. Udayan Mukerji received the award for his contribution to the understanding of the jurisprudence of privacy.

We are greatly honored having been blessed by the above kind communications from their Lordships of the Hon’ble Supreme Court, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Karol and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Kumar. These will certainly encourage us to improve on the content, clarity and depth of future editions.

Bonum Lex team attended the talk on, “TACKLING CORRUPTION: WHAT DEMOCRACIES CAN LEARN FROM EACH OTHER” by Lord Goldsmith which was organized by the OBSERVER RESEARCH FOUNDATION. Lord Goldsmith is the Co-Managing Partner and Chair of European and Asian Litigation. He is a QC (Queen’s Council) and appears regularly in court as well as in arbitration.

The talk started with a brief discussion on Corruption- a menace in business and political life. Lord Goldsmith explained that to find an effective solution, United Kingdom has formulated a system, wherein there are Agreements between Companies/Corporations at fault and the victims, particularly known as the Deferred Prosecution Agreement (DPA), very similar to Non-Prosecution Agreements. It is a voluntary alternative to adjudication in which a prosecutor agrees to grant amnesty in exchange for the defendant agreeing to fulfill certain requirements, which entails providing financial compensation, reparations, and/or promising to not indulge in such harming activities ever again in the future.

Lord Goldsmith’s informative talk was attended by notable Legal Practitioners from all over Delhi.

The book release function of “Technology Laws Decoded” written by Ms. N S Nappinai Advocate, Mumbai High Court and Supreme Court Of India:

The team of Bonum Lex attended the book release function of “Technology Laws Decoded” authored by Ms. N S Nappinai Advocate, Mumbai High Court and Supreme Court Of India, at India International Center, Max Mueller Marg, New Delhi on 28th of March,2017.
Hon’ble Justice Mr. Jasti Chelameswar, Judge, Supreme Court of India, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Madan B.Lokur ,Judge, Supreme Court of India and British High Commissioner Hon’ble Sir Dominic Asquith KCMG graced this occasion as “The Guest Of Honour”. Justice Jasti Chelameshwar and Justice Madan B. Lokur shared their life experiences related to the evolution of technology and adaption of the same by young.
After the book release there was a very informative and interesting panel discussion on “Technology laws” conducted by the Executive Director, BTVI Mr. Siddharth Zarabi with Hon’ble Judge , Delhi High Court Dr. S. Muralidhar, President NASSCOM Mr. R. Chandrashekhar and Ms. N S Nappinai.

“ The team of Bonum Lex attended a Science Circle lecture on ‘ Liberty and Security in Times of International Terrorism’ by Prof . Dieter Grimm, Professor, Humbolt University and Yale Law School and the Former Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany, at the German House , Chanakyapuri on the 10th of January, 2017.
Prof. Grimm discussed many recent judgments from the constitutional courts all over the world, where the recent anti terrorism legislations were under the scanner for violating fundamental rights.
Prof. Grimm’s in depth lecture was attended by various students and professors from the field of Law and Philosophy along with various lawyers etc. ”

The Bonum Lex team had attended the “Bankruptcy Code 2016” on the 24th of September, 2016.
The panel discussion on the new Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016, was very insightful and educative.
